Historical Metaphysics
It is not easy to say what metaphysics is. Ancient and medieval philosophers might have said that metaphysics was, like chemistry or astrology, to be defined by its subject matter: metaphysics was the "science" that studied "being as such" or"the first causes of things" or "things that do not change." It is no longer possible to define metaphysics that way, and for two reasons. First, a philosopher who denied the existence of those things that had once been seen as constituting the subject-matter of metaphysics—first causes or unchanging things—would now be considered to be making thereby a metaphysical assertion. Secondly, there are many philosophical problems that are now considered to be metaphysical problems (or at least partly metaphysical problems) that are in no way related to first causes or unchanging things; the problem of free will, for example, or the problem of the mental and the physical.

This thesis is designed to address the various views of what a Near Death Experience (NDE) means to most people and how it may differ by various people from different cultures or religions, ages or scientific viewed vantages.
Are there similarities in their experiences as to how they "see" the "other side"? Are there similar beliefs overall? Is an individual's personal belief experienced within the individual's consciousness? Do their experiences relate through their various religious practices? Through social participation are individual beliefs formed and heightened?
Cultural or religious beliefs may both provide explanations for unexplained phenomena and communicate the essence of human transpersonal experiences. Can the effects of cultural or religious diversity may not only influence the interpretations of near death experiences but also may account for some of the differences in the descriptions of encounters with incorporeal entities, the setting of the experience, and in the activities that are reported during the experience.

The application of Higher Metaphysical Spiritual Truth of counseling, guiding and teaching is significantly enhanced by researching and gaining more insight as to what it really means. Or the interpretations of these philosophies and opinions. The process of learning about and absorbing higher spiritual truth must and should include communicating with the universe or the universal mind. There are many theories about how a human being or even animal communicates with the universe. And in this paper we will also visit how they communicate with us. We are focused on learning about the afterlife thru near-death experiences, trance work, out of body experiences, meditation, etc. We invoke the help of ministers, psychologists, hypnotherapists, mystics, psychics, shamans and those who channel to make the connection for us. Very few of us consider the possibility that the universe is giving us opportunities to connect, through extraterrestrial events such as alien visitations, crop circles, ORBS, automatic writings, reincarnation, visits to the Akashic records. Invitations have been left all over the planet in structures from the ancient world that have been influenced by alien visitations among us. All we need to do is learn how to accept and acknowledge the invitations. Could all of these events be accessible from our own subconscious self?
